GEFCC Exceeds Illinois Health Connect Quality Benchmarks - Again!

For the second year in a row, for the period ending September 30, 2010, Greater Elgin Family Care Center exceeded Illinois Health Connect Quality of Care benchmarks. This time we exceeded expectations in 5 different areas, further validating that we provide the highest quality of care for our patients!

- Lead Toxicity screening for children under age 2
- Developmental screening for children between 12 and 24 months of age
- Developmental screening for children between 24 and 36 months of age
- Appropriate asthma medication use for children aged 5 to 11 years
- Diabetic HbA1c testing for patients aged 18 to 65 years

GEFCC outperforms other Community Health Centers (CHC)

1. Highly Efficient!
- GEFCC ranks in the 3rd National Percentile in Medical Team Productivity, meaning that at least 96% of all CHCs underperformed in Medical
   Team Productivity as compared to GEFCC.
2. Cost Efficient!
- GEFCC ranks in the top 88th National Percentile in Cost per Encounter, indicating that more than three quarters of all CHCs spend more money
   per encounter to deliver the same services as GEFCC.
- GEFCC's Cost per Patient is 32% Lower than the State CHC Average.
- GEFCC's Cost per Patient is 41% Lower than the National CHC Average.
3. Rapidly Growing!
- GEFCC is growing three times the State and National Average growth-rates for Total Number of Patients served.
- GEFCC serves 300% more Medical Patients than the State and National Averages for Number of Medical Patients served.
